The “motto” of our NGO well represents the reason that drove some of us to found Pangea Institute in 1992, with the mission of improving the level of public awareness and parks management through environmental education and vocational training for protected areas staff, educators, families and citizens.

Since 1992 we have carried out more than 11.200 hours of training and education, involving about 11.000 people.
Specialised in interpretive media design, the Institute also runs the only Italian Environmental Education Centre entirely focused on Protected Areas issues, which is part of the national network promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Education, and which involves every year hundreds of children and families.

Through years of commitment and quality of work we have become the Italian “School for Parks” and we have been officially recognised by the Ministry of Education.
Since 1997 we are member of IUCN-The World Conservation Union and Europarc, European Federation of Parks; in 2003 we joined the Vth World Parks Congress held in Durban, South Africa. At present, we are involved in the ETTF-European Training Task Force of the Commission on Protected Areas of IUCN and we are involved in training the staff of Balkans’ parks.
